Sun. April 13—Rehearsal for Confirmation Class, 6:00 pm (not 6:30).

Sat. April 19—Confirmation at 10:00.

Thurs., May 1—Rehearsal for First Holy Communion at 7:00 pm.  Meet in the Church.  Two priests will be available for children’s confessions at 6:00 pm.

Sat. May 3—First Holy Communion at 11:00 am.  Please meet in Fr. Ruehl Hall at 10:15 sharp!  There will be a cake and punch reception following the Mass.

Sun. May 11—May Procession.  The May Procession is a required class.  It is the last day of classes of the year.  See calendar page of this website for details.

Dress Requirements

 

Boys—

All First Holy Communion boys should wear a dark suit or dark pants and dark jacket.

A white tie is required this year for each boy.  These are readily available at religious goods stores or in religious goods catalogues.

A white arm band bow is strongly encouraged this year although not required.  The girls always look so beautiful in their white dresses and veils; we want our boys to feel just as special.  Because of this, we would like to encourage this beautiful tradition.

Dark dress shoes and dark socks.

 

Girls—

All First Holy Communion girls should wear a white modest dress.  The dress must be below the knee and have some kind of sleeve.  Please, if the dress your child is wearing is sleeveless or has spaghetti straps, make sure your child wears a white cover-up, jacket, or sweater.

A white head covering is required this year.  This could include a First Holy Communion veil, chapel veil, or flower wreath.  White barrettes with flowers and ribbons attached will also be acceptable. 

White dress shoes and white socks or tights.

 

Please Note—

In order to keep the children focused on the Mass and on Jesus, the teachers have requested that the children not be allowed to carry anything with them—no purses, gloves, rosaries or prayer books etc.
